How do get to Selvatica?
Not to worry. We will get you there, no matter where your starting point is or method of transit.
Let’s start with the simplest way to get to Selvatica. When making your reservation, indicate that you need a shuttle ride.Verify with Selvatica firsthand to ensure they cover your hotel. If not, special arrangements can be made.
The shuttle they use is small, yet roomy. The idea is to not cram a bunch of people in a gigantic bus.Why so? Because that would take forever to fill, and the transit time would be excruciating. Our shuttles are strategically small for smart reasons.More comfort, and less transit time.
One thing to remember is to bring a bag filled with a change of clothes and shoes (or sandals in case your sneakers get wet), a towel, and—believe it or not—a sweater! Even though it’s counterintuitive to bring a sweater in steamy Cancun, you have to remember the shuttles can’t drive around in this heat without blasting the AC. Be prepared.Bring a small blanket or sweater to keep warm.
Also, if you’re traveling early and let’s face it, you may have a slight hangover, use this transit time to take a nap! Think about it. The last stop is Selvatica, so there’s no way over ‘oversleeping’. You’ll feel fresh and ready to tackle all the adventures Selvatica can throw at you. And believe me, there will be many.
But let’s say you’re a do-it-your-selfer. You’re the type that never sits shotgun. You want to be in the captain’s seat and be fully in control. Well, that way has served you well so far in life, so why not continue?
Well, guess what? You’re in luck.Google Maps has made things MUCH easier for you.Just in case you can’t use it, though, let’s give you some easy-to-follow directions.
If you’re coming from Cancun or Playa del Carmen, plan for about a 45-minute drive. If you’re in Tulum it’s going to be an hour and 45 minutes. If you’re in Puerto Morelos, you’re lucky. You’re only 15 minutes away.
If you’re coming from Cancun drive south. If you’re coming from Tulum or Playa del Carmen, drive north. If you’re coming from Puerto Morelos, you’ll simply drive west.
When coming from Cancun, right before you cross Puerto Morelos, you’ll see a sign on your right for Selvatica that says 500 meters. Slow down and pay attention to the right-hand side. After 500 meters, turn right. You’ll travel down that road for approximately 15 minutes before you see a large Selvatica sign on the right.Drive for about 90 seconds, and you’ll see a parking lot on your right. About 30 seconds past the parking is the entrance.Congratulations, you have arrived.
If you’re driving from Playa del Carmen, Tulum or Akumal, once you pass Puerto Morelos, make the first u-turn available. If you’re coming from Puerto Morelos, drive towards Cancun for about 30 seconds then make your first available u-turn. Then follow the instructions above.
Remember, Google Maps is your friend. If you have internet or location access, use it. Better yet, print out Google Map directions beforehand. Better safe than sorry.
Whether you drive or you allow our shuttle to get you there, when someone asks “how to get to Selvatica”, tell them ‘Don’t worry…I got this’.
Good luck and be prepared to have the time of your life at the best outdoor adventure park in Latin America!
