cancun extreme adventure

You’re about to visit the Caribbean, and you are in the mood for an adventure… If you want to know the secrets for having the ULTIMATE adventure tourCancun is crucial in your vacation! Hear from an insider, and keep reading…

Don't Miss Out on Cancun's Best:

Let me start by telling you the top 3 things that you MUST not miss if you’re planning on enjoying your Cancun getaway. The following points will be tips that you’ll find very useful (trust me), and that might even save you money! Buckle in and listen up, you’re in for a treat…

1. Selvatica:

No extreme adventure in Cancun is complete without visiting Latin America’s #1 rated Nature/Adventure Park (TripAdvisor). I’ve lived in Cancun for 15+ years and all I can say about Selvatica is positive. The atmosphere feels 100% genuine and the staff has down to earth, grounded people… There’s never a dull moment in Selvatica, and as far as adventure goes, I highly recommend this experience for both expert adrenaline junkies and beginners.

2. Dolphin Experiences

Soften up, and take some time to experience a true connection. As far as dolphin encounters and dolphin swims in Cancun, Dolphinaris is without a doubt my go-to. I am not a great fan of keeping animals in captivity, but even then Dolphinaris makes it a guilt-free experience! From beginning to end they make sure that both you and the dolphins are under excellent care, and their new program, Blu, is surely going to blow your mind (there’s VR included, what?!).

3. Ventura Park

Whether you want to wind down a little or want to keep the adrenaline pumping Ventura Park has got something for you. This is an all-ages amusement park that has over 5 different sections, all filled with fun attractions! You have a water park, go-karts, adventure rope circuits, zip lines, VR experiences and MUCH MORE. If winding down sounds attractive, there is also a V.I.P beach club!

DO's and Dont's

1. DO Stay at an AIRBNB

This accommodation alternative has gotten increasingly popular over the years and it is no surprise why. You might be paying less or equal the amount that you would when staying at a hotel, and the benefits could be higher! It really depends on whether you prefer being more independent or you like being pampered; someone who’d rather have a kitchen and living room instead of room service should opt for this.

2. DON'T purchase at the airport

It might be tempting but I assure you that ANY tour, cab, item that you buy at the airport will be quite a lot more expensive than elsewhere. Book tours online, save money.

3. DO stay between Cancun and Tulum

As you’re looking for more outdoorsy and adventurous activities I’d say that staying in Playa Del Carmen would probably be the best option. Consider that Playa is in the middle of most fun activities so to avoid long distances this will be the trick.

4. DON'T forget mosquito repellent and bottled water

This might be an obvious one but we tend to forget sometimes. The basic items for your Cancun trip are sunblock, mosquito repellent, sunglasses and probably a cap… If you’re bringing a camera definitely bring an extra battery/memory card (so many photo ops, seriously) and last but not least: water.

You can’t and shouldn’t bring the water from home, but I beg you to NEVER drink the tap water. Purchase water bottles and try to carry one with you all the time.
